Construction Safety Manager

Job Details:

• Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
• Location: New Albany, OH / Columbus, OH
• Duration: 1-2 years ( Start: Immediate Needs )
• Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $50-65/hr (overtime after 40), depending on experience and certifications
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly

Schedule:

• Days: 5-6 days/week (Monday-Friday)
• Hours: 10-12hr shifts, 58-60hrs per week

Project Scope:

Oversee the safety management of electrical contractors on a data center project. Must be able to walk and be present in the field.

Responsibilities:

• JSAs
• Site Walks
• Audits
• Safety Enforcement

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years in construction safety management with data center and/or electrical safety experience
• Certifications:OSHA 510 (Required)
• BCSP Cert (Preferred)
• Bilingual (Preferred)

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
• Provide safety training as needed.
• Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
• Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required.

Skills & Knowledge:

Skills:

• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• OSHA outreach training experience ( a plus )
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
• Effective communication of EHS principles
