Kootenai County is interested in recruiting individuals in the field of appraisal. Applicants without formal qualifications who can demonstrate experience and skills sets that are transferable to the role of an
Ad Valorem Appraiser such as experience in building inspection, construction, real estate, or with a title company will be considered.
THE POSITION: Performs semi-complex or complex inspections of urban, rural suburban and rural unimproved land and improved residential properties to facilitate the determination of market value for assessment purposes. The nature of the work requires the employee to be detail oriented and time sensitive to mandated deadlines. The principal duties of this job are performed in a general office environment and in the field, including exposure to adverse weather conditions and require the Appraiser to drive to various, sometimes remote, locations within the County.
