Position Purpose: Assist the Chief Medical Director to direct and coordinate the medical management, quality improvement, and credentialing functions for the business unit.
The role involves providing medical leadership in utilization management, quality improvement, performing medical reviews, supporting performance initiatives, and collaborating with providers and clinical teams. The director will also participate in provider network development, physician education, and quality studies, among other responsibilities.
Education/Experience: Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy. Utilization Management experience and knowledge of accreditation standards preferred. Active medical practice required. Coursework in health administration, financing, insurance, or personnel management is advantageous. Experience with diverse populations is preferred.
License/Certifications: Board certification in a recognized medical specialty and a current, unrestricted South Carolina MD or DO license.
Pay Range: $221,300.00 - $420,500.00 per year.
