Recruiter Job no: 495085 Closes: 11/29/2025 5:55:00 AM Work Type: Staff Full-Time Locations: New Orleans, LA Categories: Student Affairs College DCC Department Student Affairs Sub Department Admissions and Enrollment Services Type of Appointment Unclassified - Administrative/Staff (Grant Funded) Duties and Responsibilities Manages recruitment territories by establishing and cultivating ongoing relationships with high school students, parents, guidance counselors, and principals in the Metro New Orleans and surrounding areas (e.g. Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. John, St. James, St. Charles, St. Bernard). Serves as a mentor to high school students participating in the DOS program. Works with community partners to coordinate outreach in the community via events, workshops, enrollment assistance, etc. Participates in telecounseling initiatives. Assists with the planning and implementation of on-campus career showcases and preview events, and off-campus events designed for traditional and non-traditional students for Perkins programs. Conducts on-campus tours and assists applicants with the enrollment process. Data entry of prospects into BANNER. Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Outreach. Required Education Bachelor degree Minimum education may be substituted for 8-10 years of work related experience Required Experience Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent oral, public speaking, and written skills High level of energy Self-starter Possesses a strong work ethic Knowledge of Microsoft suite. Ability to work independently and as part of the enrollment team.
