Position Title: QA Tester (Temp)

Location : Needham, MA/Remote (Daybreak Approved Remote Locations (CA, WA, TX, NY, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME))

Salary Range:

• Needham, MA: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Approved Remote Locations: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour (based on experience and location)

THE OPPORTUNITY

The QA Tester is responsible for testing multiple aspects of Lord of the Rings Online. In the QA Department at Standing Stone Games reporting to the QA Lead, this position will be responsible for:

• Hands-On reporting of bugs, balance issues, etc.
• Performing regression and functional testing
• Assisting in build approvals by completing smoke tests, test plans, and white glove testing
• Investigating bugs reported by players
• Work closely with developers and attend various meetings

What craft expertise you'll have:

• Strong working knowledge of the MMO genre
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal
• Highly motivated and self-directed, with a drive to perform well and take initiative on tasks
• Teamwork oriented
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Bonus craft expertise:

• Prior experience playing Lord of the Rings Online
• Prior experience as a software Quality Assurance tester, preferably on an AAA title
• Experience with JIRA software
