Job Description:

As a QA Test Engineer, you will participate in the design and implementation of automated testing technologies and contribute to software engineering projects using advanced development patterns. You will collaborate with a remote team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products, performing ongoing product testing and deployment activities. The ideal candidate must be self-directed, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and skilled in the latest testing technologies and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the design and execution of automated testing solutions

Collaborate on software engineering projects, contributing to design, testing, and integration

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like MABL, Selenium, or Sauce Labs

Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner

Track and report defects using JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced Agile environment

Ensure compliance with CI/CD practices and integrate testing into Jenkins or GitLab CI pipelines

Create and maintain test documentation throughout the software development lifecycle

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing

Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks

Proficiency in MABL, Selenium, Sauce Labs, or similar automation tools

Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner

Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation

Knowledge of defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla

Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI

Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and TDD/BDD practices

Strong analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills

Ability to create and maintain comprehensive test documentation throughout the SDLC

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $60.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
