We have an interesting new opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our ACT Team and see patients out in the community in the Bronx. You would work alongside multiple Prescribers and be an integral park in our behavioral health treatment program. Our organization has been well established for over 60 years and we have built a reputation of providing behavioral health treatment to patients throughout all walks of life. We have numerous locations and programs throughout the five boroughs and are still on a mission to solve this mental health crisis. This opportunity would offer you a flexible schedule with no on call or weekend days included. One of the most important things that we focus on is giving our prescribers the ability to work in collaborative environment. We strive to make sure our patients are taken care of, as well as our employees enhancing their clinical skill set and understanding of Psychopharmacology. Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Location: Bronx NY

Salary: $160,000 to $180,000 + full benefits package including Health, Life Disability, Malpractice, 403B, Tuition Assistance, and many other perks

 

 

Responsibilities:

Seeing 4 to 5 patients in any given day out in the field at either a residence or housing shelter.

Providing medication management

Developing treatment plans and discussing any behavioral health issues with patients

Documenting all notes in EMR system

Interacting with other Prescribers, Psychiatric RN’s, and social workers

Making sure patient is reacting well to medication and treatment

Prescribing medication when needed

Participating in team meetings

 

 

Requirements:

Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Active DEA License

Active New York PMHNP license

Graduate of accredited PMHNP Masters of Nursing Program

We will see new graduates

1+ Year of experience as a Psychiatric NP preferred

Good communication skills
