Job Description

A leading firm in Garden City is seeking a Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across multiple residential properties. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, a deep understanding of building operations, and the ability to navigate regulatory and legal frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support on-site staff across multiple properties.
• Communicate effectively with legal representatives and tenants regarding court cases and schedules.
• Obtain and manage documents from the Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR).
• Conduct regular property site visits to address operational and tenant concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all internal procedures and governmental regulations.
• Review maintenance reports and oversee property upkeep.
• Identify and implement cost control strategies and revenue improvement initiatives.
• Manage tenant relations with a focus on professionalism and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in property management, preferably with multifamily or rent-regulated properties.
• Strong knowledge of local housing laws and DHCR procedures.
• Familiarity with building systems operations and maintenance protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Yardi and other property management software.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
