Grundfos is seeking a Project Purchasing Specialist. The Project Purchasing Specialist is responsible to support requests for special pricing, one-off buys and sourcing activities required for Make-To-Order (MTO) and Engineer-To-Order (ETO) sales for the Brookshire CBS Division. The key responsibility is to maintain compliance to Grundfos processes, best practices and relevant strategic initiatives. This position reports directly to the Purchasing Manager and will operate on a fully onsite schedule out of the Brookshire, TX facility.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for applicants for US Work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa.
Your main responsibilities: - Attend Daily Action Meetings (DAM) and relevant project meetings as required.
- Manage and prioritize request for special pricing, sourcing and supplier development to support CBS Make-To-Order and Engineered-To-Order business.
- Maintain close cooperation with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality and other key functions.
- Establish methods for handling of activities in expeditious manner while maintaining compliance to defined processes.
- Align Group Purchasing and CBS Americas Operation strategies and implement the overall purchasing activities while driving actions to meet targets of both Purchasing and CBS Operations.
- Continuously work on optimization of the supplier portfolio for the products manufactured by Brookshire production.
Your background: We imagine that you have: - A Bachelor's Degree in a technical or supply chain discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 3+ years of purchasing and supplier portfolio management is required.
- Proven track record in supplier management and negotiations.
- Networker, strong in building relationships and collaboration.
- Result and action oriented with the ability to make decisions.
- Functions well in a diverse organization.
- Strong SAP & MS Office Skills is preferred.
