We are currently seeking a dynamic, results-driven Permanent Accounts Receivable & Collections Manager to join our team in the construction industry. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on our organization by ensuring the effective management of our accounts receivable and collections process. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of lien law, construction billing, AIA billing, and possess supervisory experience. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring 5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
As our Accounts Receivable & Collections Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing and managing the entire accounts receivable and collections process to ensure timely and accurate billing and collection of revenues.
2. Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies to improve the billing and collections process.
3. Managing customer accounts and ensuring proper billing practices in compliance with lien law and other applicable regulations.
4. Preparing and analyzing reports on accounts receivable status and collection activities.
5. Collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate billing and collections.
6. Supervising and training a team of accounts receivable and collections staff.
7. Resolving complex billing issues and customer complaints.
8. Ensuring compliance with AIA billing procedures and standards.
9. Working closely with the finance team to forecast cash flow and manage receivables.
10. Participating in audits and assisting with other financial operations as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge of lien law, construction billing, and AIA billing.
3. Proven experience in managing and supervising a team.
4. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial systems.
7. The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
8. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
