PRODUCTION SCHEDULER – WIXOM – IN-PERSON

Job Summary
The Production Scheduler uses the company’s ERP system to plan production and consume material to meet all customer shipping and delivery goals. This role has detailed knowledge of the capacity planner and resource groups. Using the Capacity Planner, they understand machine run times and manpower required to complete production jobs. They are responsible for tracking scrap and capturing other important production performance related indicators.

Responsibilities

• Ensure goods are produced on time and according to quality standards.
• Develop, lead, and execute production scheduling / planning strategies.
• Interface closely with the manufacturing teams, material planning teams, and sales personnel to maintain schedule and fill customer orders.
• Generate weekly potential shortages of the current week and shortage reports for the previous week and present them to required teams.
• Prepare for required meetings with sales and operations with strong communication and understanding of scheduling successes and concerns.
• Email out the weekly production schedule to maintain open communication about the status of product output. Use this information to determine if the schedule needs to be adjusted.
• Adjust schedules and communicate with sales team to prevent shortages.
• Collaborate with material planning team to maintain and manage the schedule.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years production scheduling
• Minimum of 2 years ERP systems
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment exposed to inventory, BOM’s, scheduling and/or supply chain
• Experience working with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience working with Google Suite (Docs, Seets, Forms)
• Experience working with Monday.com and DEAR ERP (preferred)
