POSITION SUMMARY

We're growing our teams and business in our newly acquired manufacturing facility in Miami, Oklahoma. This former pet treats factory, bordering Kansas and Missouri-sitting just over an hour away from Tulsa, OK and Springfield, MO-was selected for its current and future pet treats production capabilities and shared commitment to quality and safety. We're bringing industry-leading knowledge and experience to this venture as we expand our in-house capabilities for dog and cat treat innovation and production. Are you up for the challenge?

Within the production environment at our Nestle Purina Miami, OK facility, you will work as a Process Operator to support production. Since safety is a top priority at Purina, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring that our equipment and machinery remain in top-notch condition. Your ability to acclimate and problem solve quickly will be critically important as unforeseen equipment issues may arise throughout the normal operation day. As part of our production team, you will enjoy bi-weekly pay, quarterly bonuses, eligibility for overtime pay, full health benefits, 401K match, paid time off and much more.

The shifts available are either 7:00AM-7:30PM or 7:00PM-7:30AM on a 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on). Must be open and available to work nights and/or weekends.

  • Schedule and batch commodities and/or meat slurry into accurate batches of mixed meal delivered through the hammer mill mixing and screening systems.
  • Operate a forklift to efficiently transport materials.
  • Safely operates production and processing equipment.
  • Perform quality checks and meet product specifications.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workplace.
  • Perform sanitation duties and material handling.
  • Safely and efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and make minor repairs on operating equipment using lock out procedures, as prescribed.
  • Utilize computer technology and basic math skills to effectively perform job requirements.
  • Occasionally will work at high heights within plant to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Work in facility environment that is not climate controlled.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military or related environment

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $20.85. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
