Work in a dynamic environment in which you'll use your passion, technical experience, and strong problem solving skills to continuously improve mechanical solutions from concept to full rate production within Additive, CNC, and Assembly. The successful candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate in a fast paced, multidisciplinary team environment at all levels.
A typical day will consist of being onsite, leading a myriad of CNC/assembly/additive centric activities from concept to full rate production within Xometry. Using your experience, you will work cross-functionally with internal and external customers teams to reduce internal nonconformities by leading RCAs to improve customer satisfaction through systematic methods. Support improvements using lean/six sigma principles to enhance quality, additive, and assembly process. Lead internal quick react activities to solve customer issues, or quick turn product. This person will work closely with qc, assembly, and additive operations to drive business metric goals.
Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent
- Strong final assembly experience
- Strong additive manufacturing and engineering experience
- Nesting
- Troubleshooting equipment and process
- Preventative maintenance
- Building Layout design and optimization
- Full understanding of GD&T and tooling
- Mechanical/Manufacturing processing knowledge
- Able to read and interpret drawings/specifications
- Proven record of driving process improvements
- Good time management / project management capabilities
- Internal audits to ISO standards
- Ability to relentlessly triage multiple process root causes simultaneously
- Knowledge of Process Certification/Process Robustness
- Effective communicator with data at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications: - Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Green Belt
- Familiar with Google Workspace, Magics, Looker, Salesforce, and Solid Works
- ISO 9001/AS9100/ ISO 13485 experience
- Experience in FDM, SLS, and Poly-Jet technologies
- CNC Machining and Programming experience
- Capital equipment acquisition, and implementation experience
