Caring CNA Needed for Pediatric Home Care – 25 Hours/Week

Location: Knoxville, TN (Zip: 37921)

Description: Join our dedicated team at Adoration Health Private Duty and make a meaningful impact in the life of a 5-year-old female patient in Knoxville. This role involves providing total care for a child with quadriplegia and cerebral palsy.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive in-home care, including assistance with eye gaze communication and management of bilateral hand and leg splints.
• Ensure the patient's comfort and safety through attentive and compassionate care.
• Collaborate with the family and healthcare team to follow the patient's care plan.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM (25 hours per week)

Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Experience in pediatric care and working with patients with cerebral palsy is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans.

• Responsible for assisting clients with either personal care or home management tasks
• This would include assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation, medical monitoring, and other basic health care related tasks
• Home Management includes tasks that include basic housekeeping, shopping and other related housekeeping tasks

• Minimum age requirements is 18 years
• Valid driver's license, with satisfactory driving record, as defined by agency policy
• Certification, if required by state licensure as a CNA or Home Health Care Aide in the state in which the aide is to provide care
• Completion of a recognized home care aide training program or 6 months of recent experience as an aide
• Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting and may be expected to lift up 75 lbs.; must be able to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time and bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach
