Principal Construction Coordinator – DOE Nuclear Projects

COMPA Industries is hiring a Principal Construction Coordinator to support Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) at the Savannah River Site (Aiken, SC) .

This role is for senior construction professionals with proven experience managing technical scope, cost, and schedule baselines on complex, highly regulated projects.

💰 Compensation

$70 – $80 per hour

📍 Location

Aiken, SC — 100% Onsite

🛂 Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILL SETS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the following to be considered:

• 11+ years of construction experience on complex industrial, nuclear, or DOE-regulated projects
• Direct responsibility for technical scope, cost, and schedule baselines
• Strong working knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and execution strategies
• Experience coordinating across engineering, project controls, procurement, and field management
• Ability to perform and defend constructability reviews with design authorities
• Experience managing or supporting construction subcontracts
• Working knowledge of project management at the tactical level

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Represent Construction Management on assigned projects and work authorizing documents (WADs)
• Validate alignment of technical scope, schedules, and cost estimates
• Review labor and material cost performance and implement corrective actions
• Identify execution risks and resolve impacts to project baselines
• Interface with DOE, project management, engineering, procurement, and field leadership
• Support safe execution from planning through construction completion and turnover

Preferred (Not Required) Experience

• DOE / NNSA construction project experience
• Familiarity with ASME codes and B31.3 pressure boundary systems
• Experience with glovebox fabrication, startup, and operational readiness
• Prior DOE L or Q clearance
