Job Summary
We are searching for an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team at our successful grooming business. As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a difference in the lives of our furry friends. Responsibilities

• Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
• Bathe dogs and dry coat
• Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
• Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
• Trim nails
• Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
• Adhere to strict safety, sanitary and cleaning procedures
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
• Comfortable working with anxious animals
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
• Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
• Strong attention to detail
