Overview:  

Reporting to t he Pastry Chef, and Pastry Sous Chef, the P astry P rep C ooks are responsible for basic preparation and tasks to support the daily production and the execution of events . Pastry Prep Cooks support the P astry C ooks and S enior P astry C ooks in preparing doughs, batters, fillings, and other pastry items for daily production and events . Attention to detail, precision, and a passion for desserts are essential to succeed in this role.  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Prepare desserts, pastries, and other baked goods according to company recipes   

• Decorate pastries in a consistent style  

• Follow plating and display standards  

• Follow portion standards  

• Maintain inventory of prepped ingredients  

• Ensure that product is stored, prepared, packed, and served according to specifications and standards  

• Co m munica te with Chefs regarding production and timelines  

• Keep kitchen area and tools clean  

Preferred Qualifications:   

• Exper ience and knowledge in c atering operations  

• Fundamental pastry skills including food preparation, flavor pairings and other best practices  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  

• Time management and organization  

• 3 years of pastry cook experience  

• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
