Presently Moran has 25 offices in the United States where it provides full-vessel agency attendance at over 80 ports along the East, Gulf and West Coasts, servicing all types of vessels ranging from the Ultra Large Cargo Carriers (ULCC’s) to the smallest fishing boat. Position Overview
The Operations Intern will have the opportunity to learn all areas of port agency operations. From ensuring our clients’ vessels have smooth turnarounds in accordance with our clients’ interest, governmental regulations, and Moran’s own operational standards, to coordinating with government and port officials and the vessel itself to set berthing arrangements for each vessel, this position provides candidates with valuable first-hand experience. You will also gain exposure to the data collection, invoice processing, and billing requirements associated with each port call. You will work closely with the team of agents in your office and contribute directly to the success of Moran while also gaining valuable, first-hand experience in the Maritime Industry with a premier provider of shipping transportation services.
