We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our Neurology Consult Service. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with no night or weekend shifts required, offering an excellent work-life balance in a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive neurology consult services to patients admitted to the hospital.
Perform detailed patient histories, physical exams, and neurological assessments.
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with attending neurologists and the care team.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and lab work.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, treatment plans, and ongoing care.
Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.
Document all patient encounters and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely manner.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team-based care strategies.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
Current PA licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in neurology or a related specialty preferred.
Strong clinical skills in conducting neurological exams and diagnosing neurological conditions.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
