The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) would be delighted to discuss our nurse practitioner or physician s associate position to join our Neurosurgery team at the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC). an award-winning Level II Trauma Center. With over 30 medical specialties, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people across the state. Working in collaboration with our neurosurgeons and physician associate you will see inpatients and out patients on our medical center campus. Responsibilities include: completing comprehensive histories and physical exams; ordering and interpreting tests; prescribing medications; developing treatment plans; and educating patients/families on treatment options, The Advanced Practice Professional will also rotate into surgery as a first assist and split trauma response with the other APP. APP s assist in a variety of neusorugeries including, but not limited to: microdiscectomies, Laminotimies, ACDF, Burr Holes, Fusions, Decompressions and ALIF s. Work Schedule: Full Time Monday through Friday; 5 - 8-hour day shifts. Preferred: 2 to 5 years post-graduate experience as a nurse practitioner or PA managing neurosurgical patients; genuine interest in neurosurgery, astute clinical skills; superior communication and relationship building skills; flexible team player; culturally sensitive.
