About NCEG:

The National Collegiate Entertainers Group (NCEG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting college music artists by providing a self-sustainable workforce development program for aspiring music entrepreneurs. Our program prepares students for immediate entry into the entertainment industry by offering resources, guidance, and hands-on experience in creating content for their student body.

Position Overview:

The Music Executive Intern will play a pivotal role in NCEG's mission to develop future leaders in the music industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity for college students to gain practical experience in music entrepreneurship, event production, marketing, and business management. Interns will collaborate with students from various disciplines to create and execute real-world projects that demonstrate the collective nature of the music industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing music events and productions on campus.
  • Collaborate with students from different fields (music, film, law, marketing, management, finance) to create content and events for the student body.
  • Engage in vertical networking to build a network of reliable business partners and potential future collaborators.
  • Support marketing efforts by creating promotional materials, managing social media accounts, and developing marketing strategies.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the collegiate music scene.
  • Assist in securing sponsorships and partnerships with corporations interested in connecting with the collegiate market.
  • Participate in workshops and training sessions to develop critical skills in problem-solving, professional development, and business finance.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled college student.
  • Passionate about the music industry and eager to learn about music entrepreneurship.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
