Position Title: Middle School Teacher Assistant

The Middle School Teacher Assistant supports the overall educational mission by assisting with instructional delivery, providing student accommodations, and ensuring classroom continuity during special staff absences. This role plays a vital part in creating a supportive, inclusive, and effective learning environment across grade-level classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Support:

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing daily instructional activities within grade-level classrooms.
• Provide small group and one-on-one academic support to reinforce learning objectives.
• Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources as needed.

Testing and Accommodations:

• Administer or support testing accommodations for students with IEPs, 504 Plans, or other documented needs.
• Ensure that accommodations are provided in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and support students respectfully and equitably during assessments.

Classroom Coverage:

• Provide short-term classroom coverage in special circumstances (e.g., teacher absence due to meetings, emergencies, or other approved needs).
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment in the teacher’s absence, following provided lesson plans and behavior management practices.
