Rangeview is building the foundry system that will Reindustrialize America. We design and operate factories using our own materials, equipment, and processes to supply the world’s top aerospace companies with precision castings. With a deep technical and commercial understanding of automation, Rangeview is reinventing the technology stack of factory operations and precision casting. We are looking for a mechatronics engineer to help scale our factory and equipment. The job involves major freedom to explore different approaches and iterate quickly, while working on a very high performing team. You should be someone who loves doing both design and working hands on with equipment, and who is at home with machines of all types.

Responsibilities

• Development, testing, qualification of new production equipment to make precision cast components
• Line support - debugging issues when equipment is down
• Developing process - experimenting with different machine parameters to improve throughput, yield, capability, and reliability
• Working with materials team to integrate and test improved materials and process

Experience

• 2 years minimum of professional mechatronics experience
• Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, electrical engineering, or similar, or evidence of exceptional ability
• Familiarity with common industrial hardware and controls - fittings, connectors, microcontrollers, motion control
• Excellent design skills
• Experience working with vendors and getting designs manufactured
• US Person - due to ITAR requirements

Multipliers

• Experience with precision casting, heat treatment, ceramics manufacturing, slurry processing
• Experience in AS9100 Aerospace manufacturing
• Experience in high volume manufacturing
• Experience with SLA printing
• Worked for a high-growth tech company / start-up
