Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

In summary, the primary responsibility of this position is to pick parts from the warehouse for the production floor. Employees will move throughout the warehouse, predominantly on foot, to locate and retrieve the required parts. Once the parts are picked, they will be placed on carts, forklifts, or tuggers to facilitate transportation to the production floor. This enables the production team to seamlessly continue the assembly process and build units.

Responsibilities

• Pick parts from the warehouse for production orders.
• Utilize a cart to navigate the shop floor while picking orders and organizing products.
• Assist the receiving team in checking and replenishing parts inventory.
• Operate a pallet jack to move materials safely and efficiently.
• Comfortable walking up to 5 miles or 10,000 steps per day.
• Get trained and certified on a stand-up forklift (must be comfortable learning forklift, but does not mean you will operate one on a normal basis).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ months of warehouse experience
• Comfortable walking up to 5 miles a day
• Comfortable reading and writing work reports to pick and pull
• Willingness to learn how to operate forklifts
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and standing on feet all day in steel toes
• Submit to a background check (no drug test)
• Preferred: Any type of forklift experience
• Preferred: Previous work in a manufacturing setting

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and located within an extremely large company, with three separate buildings in Anoka. You will be working in enclosures in a manufacturing setting within a large warehouse. The shifts available are: 1st Shift: 7:00am to 3:00pm (Monday - Friday), with potential overtime starting as early as 5:00am; 2nd Shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Monday - Friday), with potential overtime working as late as 1:00am; 3rd Shift: 11:00pm to 07:00am (Sunday Night through Thursday Night), with potential overtime working an hour later than shift end or starting an hour early. Overtime is typically mandatory and scheduled in advance, including possible Saturday overtime.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.25/hr.
