Job Description

Meadow Ridge is the premier life care retirement community in Fairfield County, located on 136 acres in beautiful Redding, Connecticut. In this unique and enriching environment, we offer Independent and Assisted Living apartment homes, as well as skilled nursing where we provide our residents with quality care and services. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional care and ensuring that our community is a safe environment for those we serve. We are currently seeking a Manager of Security and Emergency Services to lead our Security/EMT asscociates team.


The Manager of Security and Emergency Services will be responsible for overseeing the security and response operations of our senior community, including managing staff, maintaining security systems, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience and have EMT certification.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Associate Supervision: Conduct frequent inspections of front and back of house areas to ensure procedures, community standards, and employee performance are upheld. Take appropriate actions as needed to address any issues.
  • Security Systems Management: Develop and supervise door PHB devices, resident keys, and key fob control programs, including managing distribution lists and PHB programming. Maintain security systems, radios, and paging equipment.
  • Record System Management: Develop and manage a secure, confidential record system for the immediate retrieval of incident reports, criminal trespass notices, photographs, and other relevant information.
  • Emergency Procedures Development: Collaborate with the team to develop and implement safety, security, and emergency procedures/action plans for the community, ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines.
  • Security Risk Assessment: Conduct annual security risk assessments to identify and report potential security risks and vulnerabilities, providing recommendations to leadership for improvements.
  • Package Delivery: Supervise the process of package delivery to residents to ensure timely and accurate distribution.
  • Representation and Participation: Attend meetings representing the Security and Transportation Department, and participate in committees as assigned.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster cooperative working relationships between Security/Safety staff and other departments within Meadow Ridge
