Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Low Voltage Technician specializing in alarms to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This is a contract to hire permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects involving fire alarm systems, security panels, and access controls. Responsibilities:
• Install and configure fire alarm panels, security systems, and access control devices.
• Perform service and maintenance tasks, ensuring systems are fully operational.
• Terminate and re-pull copper cabling to establish new access points.
• Travel within a 2-3 hour radius to various job sites, with occasional overnight stays.
• Collaborate with nursing home facilities to recable, clean up nurse call systems, and enhance access controls.
• Adapt to daily tasks that vary based on project requirements and client needs.
• Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot issues to maintain high standards of system performance.
• Maintain clear communication with clients to address concerns and provide updates.
• Follow safety protocols and standards during installation and service activities.
