THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Lottery is seeking an experienced, energetic sales professional to serve a specific sales territory within the Philadelphia County area.


As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will provide product, guidance, and support to existing retailers while actively working with them to increase their sales. You will have a chance to utilize your sales experience to recruit new retailers, educate them on the benefits of joining our retailer network, and provide strategies that will help them succeed. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will read and interpret sales data, engage business owners and customers in discussion regarding the value of Lottery products, and provide detailed information surrounding procedures and products. You will also be responsible for coordinating promotions for new games and products and analyzing the effectiveness of various marketing techniques. You will have the opportunity to conduct on-site inspections and complete Lottery Accessibility Compliance Location Surveys in order to determine if prospective retailers are compliant with Retailer Accessibility Program (RAP) requirements. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as you will network, interact, and engage players at retailer events and collaborate with other sales representatives. Additional duties include navigating a web-based portal and maintaining proficiency in the utilization of PCs and electronic tablets to efficiently complete tasks.

This position is home headquartered, however you would be expected to report to the assigned area office on a weekly basis.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. There will be at least once per month where the work hours will change to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for one week to maintain operational efficiency and maximize service to the Lottery and the public.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,971.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of experience in progressively responsible sales or marketing work; or
• Any equivalent experience and training.

Special Requirements:

• You must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Additional Requirements:

• This position will travel to cover Philadelphia County. The candidate must reside in Philadelphia County: 19145, 19146, 19147, 19148. Relocation is not an option.
• You must have four or more years of sales experience.
• You must have four or more years of customer service experience in a sales environment.
• You must be able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
• You must be available to work the required work schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be at least once per month where the work hours will change to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for one week.
• You must abide by the prohibition guidelines and refrain from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos, or any casino outside of Pennsylvania with the same owners.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
