Job Description

Our client is seeking a Library Assistant to handle circulation desk transactions and reference inquiries from students and faculty. This position will operate onsite in New York, NY. 12-16 hours per week and primarily evenings during the work week. The individual may need to work during normal office (i.e., Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.) for training and vacation coverage purposes. The weekly schedule is determined at least two weeks in advance.

• Temp Position Pay 20-21HR

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the library's online platform
• Answer online chats and tickets submitted by students and faculty
• Manage the circulation desk

Qualifications:

• Excellent writing, communication, and research skills
