Enter stage left our Consultant position. We're looking for people who love open source and want to grow with a company that's bursting at the seams.

Key Objectives

• Architect and lead projects to their successful deliveries.

• Ensure solution architecture works, can scale, and performs.

• Drive the project’s day-to-day from a technical standpoint.

• Oversee and approve the design of component solution architecture.

• Manage client relationships from a technical standpoint.

• Estimate level of effort for custom development.

• Provide technical feedback to the core product.

• Provide feedback to improve internal and project processes.

• Consult clients on best practices regarding web application development and web system architecture.

• Identify project gaps and drive resolutions to completion.

• Lead client-facing demos for projects.

• Oversee the configuration and management of Liferay suite of systems and products to best meet the needs of clients.

• Recommend the best solution to client using the full suite of Liferay products.

• Author best practice guides/white papers and/or speaking roles at conferences/symposiums/BU meetings.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance in the installation, configuration, implementation, and deployment of Liferay’s Java-based technologies.

• Work with engagement managers and clients to accept work, estimate level of effort, and define deliverables

• Take ownership of projects.

• Deliver projects and customer value consistently.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent programming and analytical skills

• Solid foundation in Enterprise Java

• 5-7 years of deep technical experience on technical projects on client sites

• 4-6 years of experience with web based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)

• 4-6 years of experience with relational databases

• Strong experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate (or equivalent)

• Expertise in tuning JVMs and application servers

• Strong experience with full SDLC including business requirements gathering, technical specifications, development, testing and deployment

• Strong experience with and understanding of methodologies and best practices in enterprise solution development

• Excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate complex business solution concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Liferay DXP
