Dance Connection is seeking an energetic and passionate Latin Dance Teacher to join our faculty. This part-time role is specifically for drop-in classes and short session programs (with the possibility of expansion in the future). We are looking for a teacher who can introduce and inspire adult dancers in a variety of Latin dance styles such as Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha, Rumba, and more. The right candidate will bring technical knowledge, cultural context, and a love of teaching dancers of all levels in a fun, engaging, and educational environment. About Dance Connection Headquartered in Islip and with studio locations in Islip and Bay Shore, Dance Connection is one of Long Island’s leading performing arts schools, serving hundreds of dancers aged 2 through adult across Suffolk and Nassau counties. We pride ourselves on fostering teamwork among faculty, providing professional administrative support, and creating growth opportunities for our staff and students alike. Availability Classes will run as drop-in sessions or short-term workshops, primarily evenings and weekends. Additional opportunities may expand into future year-round sessions. Scheduling is flexible and based on demand. Requirements Strong background and training in multiple Latin dance styles (Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha, Rumba, etc.). Teaching experience with adults and/or teenagers preferred. A love of sharing dance in an inspiring, positive, and community-focused environment. Effective class management skills, professionalism, and strong communication. A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
