Job Summary:  

Trane Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an onsite position in our Engineering Test Laboratory in La Crosse, Wisconsin as a Compressor Testing Supervisor supporting applied compressor testing. Your primary function is to supervise a team of technicians in building, testing and qualifying Trane Technology’s compression products. The job requires leading, problem solving, and collaboration with other lab and engineering team members to ensure timely completion of new product, new technology, sustainability, quality improvement, and agency compliance projects. This position is salaried.

Responsibilities: 

\n
• Ensure self and team members work safely while maintaining a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures

\n
• Plan and align team resources and facilities to support build and testing of Trane Technologies’ compressor products

\n
• Talent Management – recruit, mentor, and motivate team members while maintaining an engaged team approach with the rest of the organization. Work closely with the team members to define and support personal development plans

\n
• Lead, sponsor, and support implementation of productivity, quality, and capital expenditure projects which continue to enhance our world class Commercial HVAC and Applied Compression Laboratories

\n
• Manage expense budget for development testing of Trane Technologies compression products

\n

Qualifications:

· Associate degree or 2-year equivalent technical degree and 10+ years of work, education and/or supervisory experience in related field

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required

· Previous supervisory or project team leadership experience is preferred

• Ability to understand, follow, and author current work instructions and applicable test standards

• Experience with HVAC equipment, specifically compressors; product design; lab equipment; testing practices; or work in operations environment is preferred

\n

Compensation:  

Base Pay Range: $75,000-$110,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
