Job Description

Our client, a leading life sciences company, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer. This is for an initial duration of 12 months and is located in Pensacola, FL.

Job Type: Contract (Candidates must be able to work on W2 without VISA sponsorship)

Top 3 must have:

• Mechanical design experience
• Experience in AutoCAD
• Contractor supervision

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:

• 2 – 5 years of proven experience in mechanical design, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and/or R&D.
• Good knowledge in the converting and or process industry with a strong background in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering
• Proficiency in the use of the latest versions of the following software packages or equivalent: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
• Experience in AutoCAD, any version (required)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their direct impact on the final product as well as the associated business influences
• Working knowledge of SPC, Design of Experiments (DOE), Measurement Systems Analysis, and statistical hypothesis testing.
• Working knowledge and experience with product and process validation methods
• Working knowledge and experience with risk assessment and risk mitigation techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in oral and written forms at any level within the organization and interact effectively with customers and external business professionals.
• Ability to prioritize activities and to remain flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
