JOB SUMMARY
The Custodian will ensure the buildings are tidy, clean and well-maintained.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures.
* Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
* Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
* Waxing furniture and cleaning fixtures.
* Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles.
* Performing minor repairs.
* Keeping building free from indoor pests.
* Maintaining cleaning equipment.
* Maintaining offices, break rooms, bathrooms throughout shift.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs.
* Physically agile and dexterous.
* Available to work after hours.
* Resilient to cleaning agents and chemicals.
* Outstanding organizational skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or GED Certificate
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
* Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
* Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out.
* Prolong standing or in stationary position.
* Complete repetitive movements.
* Bend and/or twist.
* Lift, move, transport items up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to move or traverse about the facilities/
* Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.
* Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, and hardhat protection).
