EXPERIENCE:
Network engineer or related position 5 years required 6 or more preferred.
Exposure to industrial control systems including PLC, HMI/SCADA, Plant Historian, Motion Control, and additional automation applications (Rockwell or comparable platform) 5 years required 6 or more preferred.
Hands-on experience configuring IT equipment (Cisco, VMware, etc.) 3 years required.
Creating part number level bills of material for simple and complex network solutions 2 years required.
Previous work as part of a large, multi-disciplinary team completing full project life-cycle implementations 2 years required.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors' Degree in electrical or industrial engineering, computer science, information technology or related technology driven degree required.
Masters' Degree preferred.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated interpersonal communications, organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing demands.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Hands on experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Demonstrate an ability to influence and guide team members when required.
Network Engineering Certification (CCENT, CCNA Routing and Switching/Wireless, CINS Cisco Industrial Networking Specialist, VCA, VCP, GICSP) preferred.
Understanding of CPwE DIG (Converged Plant-wide Ethernet Design and Implementation Guide) preferred.
Understanding of ISA, ANSI, NEMA, NEC, and NIST Standards preferred.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Outside Sales - Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
Employee required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform their job.
Employee required to use hand tools.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee required to organize and coordinate schedules.
Employee required to analyze and interpret complex data.
Employee required to calibrate precise measurements.
Employee required to problem-solve.
Employee required to communicate with the public.
