Industrial Electrician - Greenville

USG Greenville is searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician, with strong emphasis in Electrical experience and PLC experience preferred. This position will ultimately be responsible for the trouble shooting, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Maintaining electrical plant equipment
•Following RPM best practices
•Understanding of LSS/LEAN principles with workshop experience
•Troubleshooting plant equipment on-line - Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and OSHA/ MSHA safety standards. Enforce all national and local codes and keep up with any changes in the industry
•Perform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance functions
•Monitor and inspect substation equipment for proper operation and any signs of deterioration
•Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protective devices
•Assist in the testing and commissioning of new substation equipment
•Coordinate with operations and PLC staff to ensure proper switching and maintenance procedures
•Read and interpret electrical schematics and use various testing equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot problems
•Work with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure efficient and reliable electrical operations
Qualifications - External
•Safety and housekeeping are first considerations in all activities. Employee must demonstrate a stellar record of department safety rules, standards, and programs to maintain employment
•Current maintenance experience or enrolled in current maintenance training program, electrical/controls experience preferred
•Excellent attendance record required
•Position is Day Shift, but candidate must be able to work other hours as needed for business conditions
•Must be able to work safely, independently, and efficiently; and have excellent verbal and electronic communication skills

Hourly Salary Range: $21.30-$32.75
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
