The Hospice/Palliative Medicine Physician at AdventHealth Orlando provides expert care focused on symptom management, family support, and goals of care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role involves interdisciplinary collaboration with a diverse team including physicians, APPs, social workers, and nurses, supporting a comprehensive palliative care program. Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is required, with responsibilities including clinical oversight and program growth in a faith-based, patient-centered health system.
AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dynamic Palliative Medicine physician to join our team in Orlando, FL with outpatient focus. Our leadership has committed to ensuring an interdisciplinary approach to providing care, thus expanding the teams at our campuses. The inpatient division is composed of eleven physicians, thirteen APPs, six LCSWs, and 2 nurse coordinators and 2 clinical nurses across eight hospitals. The department has two fellowships: a one-year ACGME physician fellowship with two positions and a one-year APP fellowship with two positions.
The current open position is for a physician in a hybrid position for Adventhealth outpatient and inpatient services in Orlando. The provider will join a team dedicated to delivering outpatient services and ongoing palliative support in the clinical setting, in addition to a well stablished and supported inpatient team. Clinical care expectations include goals of care, family meetings, and complex symptom management in the inpatient and outpatient setting. The program strives to foster a growth mindset and appreciates its wide diversity of providers' backgrounds, including family medicine, critical care, and internal medicine.
