Head of HR - Real Estate Firm near Levittown - $125k - $150k + B

A prominent, full-service real estate firm with a strong reputation for its exceptional culture and emphasis on work-life balance is seeking a Head of Human Resources to lead the HR function as their current Head of HR prepares for retirement. This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly autonomous role, reporting directly to ownership and playing a pivotal role in shaping the HR function for the future.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the strategic and hands-on leader of the HR function, managing day-to-day operations and long-term planning
• Supervise and mentor the HR Assistant, who manages payroll processing
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and offboarding
• Revising and updating the employee handbook and HR policies
• Creating/updating job descriptions and organizational charts
• Reviewing and refining job titles across the company
• Act as a trusted advisor to ownership and leadership on all people-related matters
• Maintain and improve electronic HR records via SharePoint and Paycom (HRIS and Payroll systems)
• Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with the company's family-owned values
• Handle HR tasks both big and small—this is a hands-on role requiring someone comfortable wearing many hats

Qualifications:

• Experienced HR professional with a generalist background and strategic mindset
• Comfortable in a lean environment where autonomy, flexibility, and resourcefulness are essential
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and approachable leadership style
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Prior experience in a family-owned or small-to-mid-sized business a plus
• Familiarity with Paycom or similar HRIS/payroll platforms preferred (not required)

Base Salary: $125k-$150k plus bonus, 401k (with match) and additional benefits/perks.
