General Ledger Accountant - early, flexible schedule

• The General Ledger Accountant should be a self-starter, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with international partners.

Overview of the General Ledger Accountant role:

• Prepare and enter monthly journal entries; review and post all subledger entries
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheet and Income Statement analyses, ensuring accuracy of the general ledger; make necessary adjustments
• Reconcile bank statements with the company’s check register and general ledger
• Perform inter-company account reconciliations and submit corresponding journal entries to subsidiaries
• Administer and maintain the fixed asset program
• Maintain and update the royalty/unearned income spreadsheet
• Prepare financial reports for department heads and the Finance Manager

Preferred Qualifications for the GL Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to independently assess issues and develop effective solutions
• Team player who possesses a positive and flexible mindset
• Able to prioritize and manage time proficiently
• Excellent communication and verbal skills to effectively solve problems
