Job Description

As our first  Founding Engineer , you’ll be instrumental in shaping both the  technical architecture and the  culture of Misprint, a YC backed startup. You’ll work directly with the founding team (Eva and Jon) to build and scale our platform, defining best practices and making critical early decisions that will set the foundation for our growth.

We’re using  Next.js, Supabase, and React Native , and we need someone who thrives in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment where impact is immediate.

• Build and scale our marketplace across  web (Next.js) and mobile (React Native) .
• Architect and optimize  our Supabase backend for real-time trading & analytics.
• Collaborate with the founding team to  define product strategy and ship features fast.
• Implement scalable  data models, APIs, and real-time features for seamless transactions.
• Set engineering best practices and lay the groundwork for future team growth.

• Experience : Some experience with full-stack development (Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, or Supabase preferred).
• Early-stage mentality : Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
• Bias for action : You love shipping fast and iterating based on real user feedback.
• Strong product instincts : You think beyond code and care about the  why behind features.

• Likes Pokemon cards or other collectibles.
• Previous startup or marketplace experience.
• Interest in collectibles, trading cards, or alternative asset investing.
• Experience with real-time data, financial markets, or order book systems.
• Experience with ML with large scale classification, and/or multimodal ML.
