We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker with existing portfolio of clients or a network of potential customers to join our dynamic logistics team(Book of business). The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the movement of freight by connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a solid understanding of logistics and transportation management.

Duties

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to understand their freight needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Negotiate pricing with carriers to secure competitive rates for transportation services.
• Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track interactions and manage customer accounts effectively.
• Coordinate dispatching activities, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of freight.
• Monitor shipment status and address any issues that may arise during transit.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics and transportation management.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, communications, and shipments in the AS400 system.

Requirements

• Proven experience in freight brokerage or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation management, and carrier sales processes.
• Excellent sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant technology tools.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, carriers, and team members.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with dispatching processes is a plus.
