Food Safety Supervisor
Bardstown, KY - full time onsite (relocation available!)
As our Food Safety Supervisor , you’ll be the go-to expert on food safety and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standards at our facility. This position works directly with the Quality Manager to lead our sanitation and food safety compliance initiatives, developing and implementing protocols that ensure we meet (and exceed!) industry regulations. You'll be responsible for developing processes and procedures, training cross functional teams, auditing processes, and fostering a culture of quality and food safety across multiple departments.
What You’ll Do
HACCP & Food Safety : Design, implement, and monitor HACCP plans that uphold our commitment to quality. Lead facility audits and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Team Training : Educate employees on the “why” and “how” of HACCP practices, reinforcing food safety in everything we do.
Inventory Management : Oversee sanitation supply stock and coordinate with third-party contractors to keep our facility in top-notch condition.
Collaborative Innovation : Partner across departments to support GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), sanitation, and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement : Analyze audit results to drive sanitation and food safety improvements, using data to fuel impactful changes.
Regulatory Compliance : Serve as the liaison for third-party audits, ensuring documentation and processes align with industry standards.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
Solid expertise in HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with technology and systems relevant to the role.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.
Proven track record in change management.
Nice-to-Haves :
Food Safety Certification or experience with global food safety standards.
Background in Lean Manufacturing.
Familiarity with the Alcohol Beverage or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry.
2+ years in ISO/HACCP implementation or management.
