Overview Join to apply for the FOL T-38 Depot Manager role at Yulista Holding LLC located at NASA’s Forward Operating Location in El Paso, Texas. Responsibilities Manage, direct, and plan T-38 aircraft maintenance and modification actions at NASA’s Forward Operating Location in El Paso, Texas. Establish work sequences and provide workload assignments to meet government-imposed priorities. Redirect workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work. Develop Microsoft Project maintenance schedules and plans to track scheduled maintenance and configuration/modifications supporting maintenance and/or engineering projects. Forecast logistics requirements to meet short, medium, and long-range workload needs and minimize negative impacts to schedule flows. Provide technical direction in sustaining projects and implement corrective actions within designated authority to resolve problems. Plan and establish leave schedules to ensure no negative impacts to mission requirements. Address subordinates’ concerns and follow up with actions to improve the workplace. Determine training needs and arrange for training accomplishment. Ensure safety equipment and protective gear are worn when mandated by regulations. Participate in daily maintenance meetings to address current and future work schedules, staffing needs, and scheduling recommendations. Leverage team strengths, develop strategies to reach team and organizational goals, and foster strong team morale. Assist team members in troubleshooting and promote process improvement. Communicate effectively with cross-disciplines and provide up-to-date technical information. Support deployed aircrews as required and work with aircrews and AOD Maintenance to handle aircraft problems away from home base. Provide timely maintenance reporting and input into NAMIS; communicate with PM, NASA Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Operations Manager, and Maintenance Control. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance and quality control procedures at an organizational level. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct reports who supervise employees on daily tasks; has the authority to carry out assigned tasks. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project Management; ability to learn additional software. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred. Ability to enter data accurately into databases and read/interpret safety rules and maintenance procedures. Ability to write required reports and correspondence. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to multi-task with effective interpersonal, communication, and managerial skills to interface with cross-disciplines within AOD. 10+ years of experience in structure upgrades for the T-38 aircraft, including prototyping experience on newly developed upgrades (structural and electrical). 10+ years of experience in managing or leading a diverse workforce to accomplish T-38 structure upgrades/sustainment at a Depot/USAF Field Team level. Must have an active Government Security Clearance.
