Summary/Objective The
Flooring Territory Account Manager is responsible for managing and supporting a designated territory of independent retailers, with a focus on driving sales of flooring service contracts. This role will deliver and support sales-driving initiatives, ensuring that retail partners have the tools, knowledge, and guidance they need to meet and exceed sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales training, excellent relationship-building skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. Success in this role is measured by the ability to enhance sales performance, foster retailer engagement, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions Account Management: - Develop and maintain strong relationships with independent retailers in the assigned territory.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for retailers, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with retailers to review performance, discuss opportunities, and provide training in product sales techniques.
- Create territory account management coverage plan to prioritize in person visitation to the top tier flooring partners, with consideration for cost effective travel planning.
- Acts as an internal point of contact and work closely with cross-functional partners to implement new clients.
Sales Growth & Reporting: - Drive sales growth within the territory through training and implementing strategic sales plans and initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, track performance, and adjust strategies as needed to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and territory activities.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of client contracts and contract deliverables. Participate in the contracting/re-contracting process as needed.
Training and Support: - Provide comprehensive training to retailers on the features and benefits of our service contracts and training in effective sales techniques.
- Offer ongoing support and coaching to retailers to enhance their sales effectiveness and product knowledge.
- Develop and deliver training materials, presentations, and workshops tailored to the needs of individual retailers.
Customer Satisfaction: - Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing issues promptly and maintaining a proactive approach to service.
- Work closely with the customer service team to resolve any escalated issues and ensure seamless experience for retailers and end customers.
- Escalate issues appropriately and effectively, when necessary, throughout all levels of the organization
Travel Up to 75% travel
Required Education and Experience - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; 3+ years of experience in sales training , preferably in the service contract or retail industry.
- Proven experience in training and development within a sales environment, with a track record of improving sales performance through coaching and skill-building.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills , with the ability to engage, inspire, and coach diverse sales teams effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented , with a focus on enhancing team performance and driving overall sales success.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales training programs that support the achievement of sales targets and goals.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills , with the ability to adapt training content to various learning styles and levels of experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills , with the ability to manage training schedules, follow-ups, and ongoing development of sales teams.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite .
- Willingness to travel to deliver in-person training sessions, attend sales meetings and provide hands-on coaching to sales teams.
