Job Description

Position: Environmental Geologist

Location: Milwaukee, WI (2-3 hour radius for travel)

Duration: 6-month contract to hire

Must-Haves:

• 2-5 years of experience with field and soil sampling
• Experience in Phase 2 field work
• Experience generating reports
• Geology or Environmental Degree

Plusses:

• Professional Geologist License

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with various testing procedures, project-specific observations, and site assessments under direct supervision or by following established procedures.
• Operate testing equipment and perform tests (e.g., soil, concrete, and other materials), recording and reporting data accurately.
• Work from technical drawings, specifications, and diagrams to carry out tasks effectively.
• Follow defined methods to monitor site activities and perform assigned duties.
• Record detailed observations and provide limited interpretation of findings.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of test data and results.
• Use calculators and other tools to perform mathematical calculations related to testing outcomes.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and project team members.
• Follow all safety protocols and policies to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
