Job Description

The Parking Lot Attendant is responsible for directing and escorting guests to and from the parking lot to the hotel entrance in a professional manner. He or she responds to guests needs, inquires and requests. This position is an on-call part time position.

JOB DUTIES:

  1. Room arriving guests and assist departing guests professionally and with the utmost courtesy while working on the parking lot.
  2. Responsible for being completely familiar on how to read guests room arrival and departure list.
  3. Responsible for being completely familiar with hotel facilities and area surrounding the hotel.
  4. Responsible for being completely familiar with events in the hotel and surrounding areas of the hotel.
  5. Responsible for knowledge of groups and functions in the Hotel on a daily basis.
  6. Patrol hotel parking lot if necessary.
  7. Monitor and maintain cleanliness of porte cochere, and parking lot.
  8. Ensure all equipment is in operating order and all supplies are up to par.
  9. Answer all guest questions accurately and resolve problems in a timely manner ensuring guest satisfaction.
  10. Assist guests with directions and use computer for maps.
  11. Assist other departments if necessary.
  12. Be familiar with the operating procedures of all other areas of the hotel, cooperating fully and in a friendly manner with those areas to assure customer satisfaction.
  13. Be a Team Player and encourage the teamwork attitude among staff.
  14. Attends department and inter-departmental meetings.
  15. Notify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities.
  16. Be knowledgeable in all hotel emergency procedures.
  17. Ensure areas are free of safety hazards and performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  18. Ensures total guest satisfaction.
  19. Follow supervisor's instructions and performs other duties as directed or assigned.
