CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Power & Manufacturing Advanced Energy/ Environmental Team at our office in either Colonie, NY or Brooklyn, NY. The individual in this role will work from the office as well as in the field.
YOUR IMPACT:CHAs engineers, ecologists and scientists partner with clients to develop practical solutions that strike the right balance between environmental sustainability, community needs and cost. Were uniquely qualified to assist with environmental services from initial site characterization through remediation. CHA draws on the expertise of technical professionals with decades of practical experience in environmental site assessment, brownfield remediation, and mitigation techniques.
The Environmental Scientist uses knowledge of environmental projects with scientific analysis to perform multiple routine tasks with little to no direction from a senior level scientist. This individual will conduct field work and analyze data in order to prevent and/or solve environmental problems.
Additionally, the professional in this role will perform field investigations and research to determine suitability of the project site for proposed use and will provide technical advice and assistance to project engineers on specific geologic, hydrologic, or other scientific aspects and their impact on the environment.
