Network Engineer Location: Richmond, CA (Onsite) Long Term Contract Our client is currently seeking a motivated and technically skilled JR. Network Engineer to join their IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a network professional looking to grow their career in a dynamic and hands-on environment. The successful candidate will support and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure while collaborating with experienced engineers on new implementations and projects. Key Responsibilities Assist in the configuration, deployment, and installation of network equipment and software Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot connectivity issues Implement and maintain network security protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of data Collaborate with senior network engineers on the design and rollout of network solutions Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support to internal users regarding network-related concerns Required Skills & Experience Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in network engineering Strong understanding of: LAN technologies Cisco route/switch platforms, design and configuration experience Routing protocols (OSPF) TCP/IP (Layers 2, 3, and 4) Windows and Mac OS networking Active Directory IT security principles Fiber optic cabling Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Strong verbal and written communication abilities Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience Preferred Skills Experience with BGP routing protocols Linux networking familiarity Knowledge of virtualization technologies Experience configuring and managing firewalls Certifications Active CCNA or CCNP certification (Required and must be provided) Additional Requirements Must possess a valid driver’s license Fluent in English Must be able to commute to the worksite daily Benefits 401(k) retirement plan Comprehensive health insurance Paid time off Monday to Friday schedule Our client is looking for someone who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a collaborative and innovative team.
