Job Title: Electronic Lab Technician I

Location: One Tuscarawas Rd, Beaver, PA 15009, USA

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST

Position Overview

The Electronic Lab Technician I will play a key role in supporting Eaton’s engineering teams by performing mechanical and electrical testing on product development, sustainment, and certification projects. This position involves assembling products and test setups, conducting standardized electrical tests, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety (EHS) and 5S practices . The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality test results.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical and mechanical tests in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA standards to support product development and sustaining activities.
• Record and maintain accurate test data on standardized forms for project engineer review.
• Assist in the repair, replacement, and inventory tracking of test fixtures and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient lab environment in alignment with 5S practices .
• Support the development and enforcement of safety requirements and ensure compliance with EHS policies.
• Perform pre- and post-calibrations , dielectric, thermal, circuit configuration, and vibration testing.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently , ensuring timely delivery of accurate test results.
• Share technical knowledge with peers and assist in building team capabilities.
• Perform additional assignments or projects as directed by management.

Basic Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Associate degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Technology from an accredited institution.
• 1–3 years of related technical experience .
• Strong aptitude in electronics, mechanics, electro-mechanical systems, and software applications .

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in computer applications for test documentation and data analysis .
• Experience in a product testing laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with product certification processes (UL, CSA, IEC, NEMA standards).
