Project Manager – Industrial Electrical Division

Location: Kansas City, MO

Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000 (commensurate with experience)

Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager with an industrial electrical background to lead a fast-paced department focused on large-scale PLC and controls projects. This leader will oversee a team of 8–10 field technicians, most of whom are PLC techs, and be responsible for project execution, team coordination, and client-facing deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a department of field-based PLC and controls technicians
• Oversee multiple industrial electrical projects, with varying site volume and scope
• Collaborate with clients, field staff, and internal teams to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery
• Coordinate job site activities, project scheduling, and resource planning
• Participate in estimating, bidding, and project proposal development
• Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency across all projects

Preferred Background:

• Former Industrial Electrician who has transitioned into Project Management
• Strong working knowledge of PLC systems with a focus on troubleshooting , not programming
• Experience managing or coordinating multiple job sites or crews
• Proven ability to lead field teams in a high-demand, deadline-driven environment
• Familiarity with industrial project bids, scope development, and client negotiations
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and urgency
