About the Role
As an Electrical & Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and development of electrical and mechanical systems for advanced electronic equipment, with a strong focus on wiring harness and cable assembly design. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable solutions for military ground vehicle systems.
Responsibilities
* Design and draft electrical and mechanical components for electronic systems, including line-replaceable units (LRUs) and system packaging.
* Develop and validate wiring harnesses and cable assemblies, including routing, schematic creation, and layout drawings.
* Translate rough electrical engineering concepts into detailed schematic and wiring diagrams.
* Select and specify components such as connectors, shielding, terminal lugs, and accessories in compliance with military standards.
* Generate CAD models and technical documentation using Creo and Siemens Capital Harness tools.
* Ensure all outputs are compatible with data management and configuration control systems.
* Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, contributing to concept development, design reviews, and system integration.
Minimum Qualifications
* Associate degree in a relevant technical discipline with 9+ years of experience, or a Bachelorâs degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with Creo, including Creo Pro-Cabling.
* Proven expertise in electrical/electronic systems design for military ground vehicles.
* Strong proficiency in CAD modeling, drafting, and design techniques.
* Experience with wiring harness and cable assembly design, including schematic and layout generation.
* Familiarity with MIL-STD-100, ANSI Y14.5/14.41, and GD&T standards.
* Working knowledge of Siemens Capital Harness and Visio Technical for schematic creation.
* Understanding of military electrical connector and cabling specifications.

* Working knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical engineering tools.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
